About
The design and construction of commercial kitchens can be an intense process even for experienced clients. With almost two decades of commercial kitchen design and project management experience we can function in a way that guides clients through the steps and allows them to know what is coming next. We want to be part of the whole process before the projects starts to after the kitchen is cooking.
In addition to my personal expertise, I also have a network of professionals who could potentially assist us in different aspects of the project. I work closely with Manufacturers, Reps, Kitchen Equipment Dealers, Stainless Steel Fabricators, Installers, Millwork Contractors, General Contractors, Client Side Project Managers, Architects, and more.

The Process
Restaurant Design is a mostly linear process, where each iteration adds details and definition to the concept.
Programming is the process where the design team learns about the operators vision so we can make educated decisions that work towards proper execution after opening.
In Concept Design and Schematic Design we shape the space and then select each piece to accomplish the tasks of the Front of house service and Back of House production.
In Design Development and Construction Documents phases we detail the utility information, special conditions, and finer details that make construction possible
Construction Administration is where we verify the design execution during construction and opening. A food service consultant should always push to be involved with the Bidding an Construction process. It is the only way to verify that all of the thought and planning that we do with the clients is realized in the space. Commercial kitchen construction can involve massive equipment 30 foot long and hung from the ceiling, but also intricate work stations where each inch is utilized.
